After leaving The Velvet Underground in 1968, John Cale embarked on a prolific solo career with works that display his versatility, and incorporate elements of rock, classical, and experimental music. His upcoming album POPtical Illusion is no exception. We listened to the first single, “How we See the Light”, and fell in love with its dreamy mix of melody and dissonance. Its chorus is the kind that haunts you on the most delightful way.
